Oracle Backup and Recovery Workshop
This workshop gives an introduction to the
backup and recovery of an ORACLE Relational Database and is based on
ORACLE 8 or 8i, although the underlying principles may be applied to
Version 7.

To take students with minimal or no backup
experience to a level
which will allow them to understand the functions of a database backup
mechanism and
allow effective and reliable backups to be made.

INTENSITY: About 40% of the course is
practicals, and 60%
lectures.
RESOURCE: Each student will have
exclusive use of a computer
workstation for the duration of the course. Each student will be
provided with
a full set of training notes relating to the course.
PREREQUISITES: The workshop is only
suitable for those who have attended the Introduction to ORACLE SQL
course. It is also recommended that the delegate has several months
hands on experience of the use of both SQL and SQL*Plus and some
knowledge of PL/SQL.
If this is not the case then an optional module of this workshop, SQL
and PL/SQL Revision is recommended. .
