Linux is a powerful, reliable, Open
Source operating system ideal for many client
and server applications. We offer a set of
training courses so that you can learn Linux
whether you're from a Microsoft or Unix
background, whether you've been a system
administrator or only a user in the past, and
whether you're using Linux for a major company
server or for your own laptop. The courses also
help prepare you for Linux certification from
RedHat and others.
Introduction to Linux
Our Introduction to Linux
course equips the novice Linux user with all the
skills necessary to navigate the system and make
productive use of the tools available, including
the Graphical User Interface (GUI), the vim
editor and essential Linux commands. It also
forms the necessary foundation for subsequent
Linux courses, although the Part 1
administration course covers much of the same
material in its early stages. Suitable for any
Linux distribution including RedHat, Centos,
Oracle Linux and Scientific Linux, and ideal for
Linux end users who wish to become proficient in
day-to-day Linux use.
Linux Utilities and Shell
Programming
Our Linux Utilities and Shell
Programming course provides a follow-on
from the Introduction to Linux course for power
users and administrators who wish to learn more
of the general purpose Linux utilities, and be
able to automate tasks by writing Bash shell
scripts. This course not only teaches you the
utilities and programming skills, but also
provides many examples of useful shell scripts.
A further important aspect is that you will be
able to readily interpret existing scripts.
Suitable for any Linux distribution including
RedHat, Centos, Oracle Linux and Scientific
Linux. Note that the Part 2 (RHCSA-level)
administration course also covers scripting, but
in basic form only.
